Three Warrensburg residents were injured, including one serious injury, in a traffic accident in Johnson County on Friday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of a southbound vehicle, 66-year-old James Henry, reportedly experienced a medical event, which caused the vehicle to travel off the right side of the roadway and strike a ditch.
A passenger, 17-year-old Kaylee Henry, reportedly was transported by Lifeflight helicopter to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of serious injures, where James Henry was transported by Johnson County ambulance for treatment of minor injuries. Another passenger, an 11-year-old boy, was transported by Johnson County ambulance to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City for treatment of minor injures.
The accident happened just after 8:30 p.m. on Missouri Highway 13, just south of Northwest 875 Road.
