A Sweet Springs man suffered a medical issue and was pronounced deceased after a traffic crash in Saline County on Monday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Russell Sims reportedly experienced a medical issue, which caused his northbound vehicle to travel off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a fence and an embankment before coming to rest.
Sims was pronounced deceased at the scene at 8:55 a.m. via phone by a doctor at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
The crash happened at 8 a.m. on Missouri Highway 127, south of 150th Road.
