
The Cooper County Fire Protection District was toned out to a blaze at MO River Tire on Friday, September 3.
According to a report from the fire department, fire fighters were dispatched at 2:30 p.m. When authorities arrived on the scene at 24200 Highway 179, a pickup truck was in flames near the gas pumps.
One engine, a tanker and four personnel responded to the scene.
The truck was deemed a total loss, the fire personnel were able to contain the fire quickly before it could spread to the gas pumps and the main building.
