Salvador Perez hit his 250th career home run, leading the Kansas City Royals to an 11-7 victory over the New York Mets. Perez’s milestone homer came as a two-run shot aided by replay review, adding to his two-run single earlier in the game. Bobby Witt Jr. scored four times, contributing to the Royals’ win.

Perez became the sixth Venezuela-born player and the 12th primary catcher in MLB history to reach 250 homers. Nick Loftin had a career-high three RBIs. The Royals improved to 10-5 for just the seventh time in franchise history, with a significant run differential. Pete Alonso hit two solo homers for the Mets, but they couldn’t overcome the Royals’ lead. Alec Marsh earned the win for the Royals, while Sean Manaea took the loss for the Mets.
