The Marshall City Council delivered the Oath of Office and swore in its newly elected council members during its meeting on Tuesday, April 16. The council started by certifying the April 2024 election results.

The council then gave the Oath of Office to the four council members who were elected. Incumbents Drew Green, Dan Brandt, and Craig Thompson were all reelected to the council, while newcomer Jim Papreck was elected in Ward 2. Each councilman was presented with certificates of election by Mayor Vince Lutterbie.

The council also nominated and elected Craig Thompson as Mayor Pro Tem; and appointed John Allen and Nathan Swisher to the Grievance Board.
Mayor Lutterbie also thanked and recognized departing Ward 2 councilman Phil Perkins for his service to the council and the city.
