A household hazardous waste event is scheduled in Saline County on Wednesday, April 24.

Items will be collected from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the drop off facility located at 26523 245th Road in Marshall. Items will be collected by appointment only, so residents should call 660-886-3945 to schedule.

The acceptable drop off items include solvents, pesticides, pet sprays, rat and mouse poison, oil based paints. pool chemicals, drain openers, insecticides, bleach, and glue.

Gasoline and latex paint can not be accepted.
