Robert Paul “Bob” Schuster, 68, of Blackburn, MO, formerly of Malta Bend, MO, died on Friday, April 19th, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his wife and both of his children.

In honor of Bob’s wishes, no services will be held.  Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com

Bob was born on July 27, 1955, in Chillicothe, MO and was the first born to Gerald Rudolph Schuster (Pat Russell) and the late Clyda Marie Hill Schuster.

On July 12, 1975, in Dover, MO, Bob married his best friend and the love of his life, Jan Elizabeth Derleth who survives of the home.

Throughout his life, Bob worked various places, but would likely be remembered most for his time working for the Malta Bend Special Road District where he made many friends, and retired from in 2018.

Bob had many hobbies over the years which included boating and fishing on the Missouri River, hunting various game and varmints, playing his bass guitar, and riding fast motorcycles.  He had a strong love of music and computer technology.  He spent countless hours building his own computer systems and enjoyed helping others with theirs.  Bob didn’t need many things to make him happy, as he enjoyed living a simple life.

Bob deeply loved “his Janny”, and was extremely proud of his children and their families.  He was our hero, our friend, the greatest husband and father we could have asked for.

In addition to his wife Jan and his father Gerald, Bob is survived by his two children, Bo (Tina) Schuster of Marshall, and BreeAnna (Jeremy) Behrends of Marshall; three grandchildren, Rydale & Windsor Schuster, both of Marshall, MO and Alynna Behrends of Malta Bend, MO;   two great-grandsons expected to arrive this summer; two brothers, David Schuster of Texas and Joe (Mary) Schuster of Blackburn, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Clyda Marie Hill Schuster; and one brother, Lindy Schuster.
