The Kansas City Royals defeated the Detroit Tigers 8-0 on Friday, April 26.

The Royals took a 1-0 lead after a sacrifice fly from Bobby Witt Jr. in the third inning. It would stay that way until the ninth inning, when the Royals added seven runs to their lead, putting the game out of reach.

Seth Lugo pitched seven scoreless innings and struck out nine batters in the winning effort.

Kansas City has won four in a row and now sits at 17-10 on the season.
