Several counties in Mid-Missouri encountered damage as storms passed through on Thursday night. Sedalia Fire Chief Matthew Irwin reported that the fire department received numerous calls starting around 7 p.m., responding to 18 incidents within a 90-minute period.

These calls included instances of trees falling onto homes, downed power lines, and lightning strikes. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. Additionally, various counties experienced significant power outages, with Saline County recording 919 outages for Central Missouri Electric Cooperative customers at its peak by 9:10 p.m. This outage number decreased slightly to 663 by 9:20 p.m. In Pettis County, there were 177 outages reported for CMEC customers.
