Traffic came to a halt on Interstate 70 on Tuesday evening following a blaze involving a semi-truck near the Missouri River Bridge, as reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Boone County Joint Communications issued an alert about the incident at 8:55 p.m.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop F Twitter account stated, “Troopers are investigating a tractor trailer fire on westbound I-70, on the west end of the Missouri River Bridge, just inside Cooper County. Both westbound lanes are blocked and traffic is being diverted north onto Route BB at the 115 MM.”
