The Missouri Department of Transportation is set to commence a bridge rehabilitation initiative on the northbound bridge  U.S. Highway 65 over Muddy Creek in Pettis County, starting on Monday, May 6. Initially, crews will establish crossover lanes to redirect future traffic from the northbound lanes to the southbound lanes.

This phase will necessitate periodic lane closures in both the northbound and southbound directions. The northbound bridge will be shut down, rerouting northbound vehicles onto the southbound lanes via the crossover, thereby reducing traffic flow to one lane in each direction.

The closure of the northbound bridge will persist for the duration of the project, which encompasses tasks such as bridge deck replacement and superstructure maintenance. Completion of the project is anticipated by Fall 2024, with weather permitting.
