The Kansas City Royals defeated the Texas Rangers behind a six-run seventh inning on Friday, May 4.

The game was tied 1-1 heading into the seventh inning, when the Royals exploded for six runs against the Texas bullpen. The rally was capped off by a three-run home run by Salvador Perez.

Hunter Renfroe hit a solo homer in the fifth. Brady Singer went six innings, giving up one run on four hits. John Schreiber, Angel Zerpa, and Colin Selby combined for three scoreless innings.

Kansas City improves to 20-13 on the season.
