A two vehicle crash was reported on Highway 65 in Pettis County on Monday, May 6.

According to a report, the accident occurred when a freightliner driven by 52-year-old Willian Marquess failed to yield and pulled into the path of another freightliner. Both vehicles crashed into each other and Marquess’s vehicle overturned.

Marquess was taken by air EMS to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries.

The accident occurred at 11:18 a.m. on Highway 65, near Grand Avenue in Pettis County.
