Michael Lee McClanahan, 61, of Slater, died Thursday, June 6, 2024, at his home, after a long battle with cancer.

Born June 26, 1962, in San Jose, CA, he was the son of Clarence J. McClanahan of Marshall and Judith Elaine Allen Beck of New Mexico.

Additional survivors include his brothers Mark McClanahan (Kathy) of Slater, Morey McClanhan of Fremont, CA and Marshal McClanahan of Georgetown, KY; stepsisters Cindy Kane of Deming, New Mexico and Debbie of San Cruz, CA; and stepbrother David Allen of Los Angeles, CA.

Michael came to Slater in 2008 from Centralia, ILL. He has worked in many factories through the years.
