A one-vehicle accident in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 on Tuesday afternoon sent a truck driver to a Columbia hospital with serious injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash at the 83.4 mile marker around 5:15 p.m. Troopers report that 61-year-old Kevin Hoag of St Clair lost control of his Peterbilt and went off the roadway before overturning. Saline County EMS, the Saline County Sheriff’s Department, and Blackwater Fire District also responded to the crash.
