Missouri’s high school softball teams will continue to have their sights on Springfield for a state title.

During last week’s board meeting, the Missouri State High School Activities Association awarded the bid for the fall and spring softball championships to the Killian Sports Complex in Springfield. The facility has been home to the softball semifinals and finals since 2010, and will remain the site until at least spring 2031.

MSHSAA also named the Show-Me Center in Cape Girardeau as the new site of the boys’ volleyball championships from 2025 until 2028. The first boys’ volleyball championship took place in May on the Maryville University campus in Saint Louis County. Cape Girardeau has hosted the girls’ volleyball championships since 2011.
