Linda L. Peterson, 88, of Alma, MO, died Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma, with Pastor Bernard Ross officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2024 at the church.  Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Corder, MO. Linda was born June 14, 1936, in Los Angeles, CA, to the late Leonard Arthur Sigler and Ruth Muriel (Hooper) Sigler. Linda moved to Alma in 2001 moving from Moreno Valley, CA. In California, she was active in Wesleyan Church in Lawndale teaching Sunday school and was Sunday school superintendent. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was very active and served as a Sunday school teacher. Her work career spanned many jobs in the financial industry, bank teller at the State Bank in Alma, worked as a chiropractic assistant, and was a paraprofessional for 15 years in the Concordia Public School District. She loved reading especially history, working jigsaw puzzles and gardening, raising flowers and vegetables. Linda’s biggest accomplishment was raising her three children on her own. She will be missed by all.

Survivors include three children, Eddie Peterson, Higginsville, MO, Julie (Peterson) Aceves and David Peterson both of Alma; seven grandchildren, Donald Sperry, Rebecca Sperry, Benjamin Peterson, Debra (Rose) Fernandez, Cassandra Church, Dylan Self and Montana Peterson; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Aubrey, Evangeline and Clara and others; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and four siblings, Bonnie Ruth Limback, Martha Mary West, Paul Leonard Sigler and Mark Alan Sigler.
