Several city councils and boards of aldermen will meet Monday, Oct. 7 for their regular October sessions.

The Concordia Board of Aldermen will begin their meeting at 5 p.m. with a public hearing to consider eight different amendments to the city’s zoning codes. The board will also review a number of budget amendments.

The Town of Carrollton’s council will meet at 6 p.m., with an agreement under consideration for repairs to the roof at Walnut Hills and the old pool house. The council will also discuss a request for a street closure to allow the Kiwanis Club of Carrollton to host their Kids Day parade Oct. 26. The Higginsville Board of Aldermen and Moberly City Council also have their meetings at 6 p.m.

The Sedalia City Council will continue discussion on a proposed no parking zone in front of a home on West Sixth Street, when they meet Monday at 6:30. The council had voted to postpone consideration of an ordinance when concerns were raised about the precedent it would set. The council will also consider accepting several utility easements along South Limit, as well as an appointment to the public library board.

The Boonville City Council gathers at 7 p.m. and will start with a public hearing on an application for a community development block grant program. The council will consider three proposed site plans and agreements for renovations to the second floor of City Hall and the Johnston Fieldhouse.
